General Data Protection Regulation

Greater accountability and transparency

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) demands greater accountability and transparency from organisations about how they collect, process and store personal information. We take our responsibilities in this area very seriously and have worked hard to ensure that all our processes across every sector of our operations fully comply with these rules.

Who we are

At Peninsula Print & Design, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of visitors to our website. We do not sell, rent or trade email lists with other businesses or companies for marketing purposes.

So you can rest assured that when you supply your personal data to us, it will only be used for the purpose of fulfilling your order – and if you like, we will let you know about our offers.

This Privacy Policy provides you with information on when and why we collect your personal information and how we use it.

Types of Data we collect

Quote or General Enquiry requests

If you use our online contact form to request a quote or you have a general enquiry, the information captured lets us know where you are for delivery purposes (we need to work out postage and delivery costs) and gives us your email address to send your request to. Sometimes we need to phone for additional information, or to let you know when your order is ready for collection (if you prefer to pick up from our site), which is why we ask for your phone number.

This information is kept on our reporting system. We do this so that when you call up to place a repeat order, have a billing/invoicing query or want to ask a question about your quote – we can access this information for you quickly.

Mailing Lists

As part of the registration process for our offer mailings (e-shots) and e-newsletters, we collect personal information.

We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff which may be of interest to you (offers and promotions); to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you are happy and satisfied.

We do not trade, or rent email lists with other organisations and businesses.

To deliver our newsletters and e-shots, we use a third party called MailChimp. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve these services. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe or update your subscription preferences to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails, or by emailing a member of our data protection team unsubscribe@peninsulaprint.co.uk
